What we don't do:

Ask you to press 1 to put you on hold and tell you that there is currently a high volume of calls until you eventually go through to the wrong department at a call centre. When you finally get through to the supposedly correct department, after being asked to repeat the same information numerous times, you are told that the person who can help you is on leave.

Apple have added more restrictions in iOS 13. These restrictions do not have a bearing on GamBlock® for Power Users, which are either devices supplied by us or devices configured by us while we remotely access a Mac computer connected to your iPhone or iPad. Power Users can use Safari and the App Store, minus gambling. In other words, your device is exactly as it was before, minus gambling.

On a device not obtained through us or configured by us, Apple do not permit blocking Safari or the App Store on iOS 13, which requires a person locally to use Screen Time to block Safari and manage / block the App Store. We refer to this as “Managed Exclusion” as opposed to “Self-Exclusion”. The GamBlock® Browser is used in this scenario using heuristics / site intelligence to intercept new sites rather than using a list.

Apple still permits blocking Safari and the App Store via software on iOS 12 and earlier on a device not obtained through us or configured by us, which translates to Self-Exclusion. In this scenario, the GamBlock® Browser is used in combination with blocking Safari and the App Store. However, someone locally can mange the App Store locally if preferred.

Gamblock For Ipad 10.2

GamBlock® never uses Virtual Private Networks on iPhone or iPads as they can easily be circumvented in a number of ways.

The iOS 13 restrictions are helpful in preventing children from unwanted activities but require extra steps with devices not provided through us. Samsung and Windows, remain the most advanced platforms in the problem gambling space, which is why we will double your protection period if you switch tho those platforms.

Power Users or other configurations do not use Virtual Private Networks as VPNs are easily circumevenetable.

Protection is active upon payment and can be on any iPhone or iPad available in your country. The unopened new device arrives at your physical address usually within one to three business days. GamBlock® is fully setup and never needs to be updated.

All we need to know is the model, colour and amount of GB.

At the end of your protection period, the device is the same as a device without GamBlock®. You keep using the device without paying anything extra. If you want GamBlock® again, you only pay the GamBlock® Membership fee again and the device is protected again without any setup. If the screen is broken for example, you walk out of the store with a replacement and GamBlock® protection.

Apple requires that certain features are restricted for 30 days if an existing iPhone or iPad is blocked via a Mac computer, after which, the features of obtaining a device through us come into effect. Several options are available.

Apps are accessed one at time for 30 days. No one else is required. However, you need to contact us to change apps.

Another person sets a device passcode. The device would need to be left on with no lock screen for 30 days.

30 Day Lock Mode does not apply to devices obtained through us. It only applies to GamBlock® for Power Users on a device not supplied by us. After 30 days, the device is the same as if you obtained a device through us, so after a protection period has ended, a Mac computer is not required if you would like protection again. Please contact us with any questions you may have as we like people to be satisfied they received the correct product.

iOS 11 or above, a Mac computer running OS 10.14 / Mojave or above and a cable to connect it to your device. All important data should be backed up as a factory reset is performed. Retrieve your contacts, emails and the like via your iCloud Apple ID after GamBlock® is installed.

Power Users using their existing device can transfer protection to Power Users on a device supplied by us at any time. If you switch Samsung, which is only matter of us sending you a link to and a few touches to be fully protected, we will double your protection period.

Use Your Existing Device

We have multiple options for blocking iPhone and iPad apps, including app configurations customised for you, another person locally managing apps or upgrading to Power Users.

Apple has significantly changed iOS 13 functionality. We can now alert loved ones and friends if gambling is being attempted or you can make us your preference to receive this information. If preferred, screen time can also be used locally by someone to the desired degree in tandem with GamBlock®. GamBlock® for Power Users is available at any time or protection is doubled by switching to Samsung. In all cases, we encourage you to stay in touch with us, so we can tailor your support and vary it as you require.
